San Jose is a good staring point, at least for excursions to the volcanoes and rafting. I boooked my trip through www.costaricaforall.com travel, including some excursions and a Fly and drive package for 1 week and a couple of days on the beach in Manuel Antonio. Great service, upon arrival pick up and a 4x4 car for the drive through the country. First we went to Tortuguero, amazing , then Arenal Volcano and stayed at La Fortuna. From there to Monteverde, visited Santa Helena cloud forest , the hanging bridges and the canopy tour , what a ride. In the next days we will go on to Rincon de la Vieja volcano and Guanacaste......
